Miami Lakes & Hialeah, FL—June 7, 2022—Kevin Menendez Macki, candidate for Miami- Dade School Board District 4, today announced he has garnered the support of Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser, Pedro J. Garcia and Miami Lakes Mayor, Manny Cid.

"I've committed to both Manny and Pedro that I'll be a voice for students, educators and parents. As the sole educator in this race, I'll be able to take my real-world experience to the nation's 4th largest school district,” stated Menendez Macki.

Garcia has been the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser since 2008 and won the area of Hialeah, Miami Lakes, Hialeah Gardens and PSN in 2020 by a very wide margin. With four daughters, thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Garcia has strong opinions on education. "Education is the great equalizer in our society, hence why we need talented and hardworking educators on the Miami-Dade School Board," commented Garcia. "This is why I'm supporting Principal Kevin Menendez Macki for Miami-Dade School Board.”

Miami Lakes Mayor, Manny Cid echoed Garcia’s statements. Cid is the first Mayor in Miami Lakes history to win reelection unopposed. “Miami Lakes is fortunate to have incredible public schools and that's thanks to the legacy of my friend Perla Tabares Hantman,” said Cid. “I trust Kevin Menendez Macki to fill the void in District 4 as he is an experienced educator who will elevate the voices of our community. I encourage all Miami Lakers to vote for Kevin Menendez Macki for School Board on August 23rd."

Menendez Macki announced his candidacy last month and has been knocking on doors throughout the district ever since. “My goal is to meet as many residents as possible. The community is concerned with the safety of our children and the future of education as a whole; I hope to be the voice on the School Board they desperately seek.” said Menendez Macki.
